Finally got to see the doctor this morning. I'm having the surgery Tuesday, October 11 and will go home Friday. I'll sure be glad when it's all over.

How many weeks do you have to be off your feet?

    Wishing you a successful surgery!

Thanks, Chrissy. The Doc says I should be able to drive in two weeks, will be able to move around the house before that.

Gee, only 2 weeks of recovery for a knee surgery? I think that's great news for you. A former president of our country had a knee surgery while he was in office. They say that President Erap Estrada was 5 feet 10 inches and after the surgery he was standing at 5 feet 7 inches because his kneecap had been replaced by titanium. That was more than 15 years ago and he is still okay when he walks.

Good luck to the surgery and I wish you a speedy recovery.

That is a great recovery time, @Sheldon Scott ! ! It sounds like you will be back up and around fairly soon after the operation.
When I first had the doctor look at my bad knee, they were saying that I would be off-work for at least two months and maybe longer. And that was back when I was younger, and the knees were much better than they are now. Of course, now, they can't operate on my knee anyway; so the fact that I wouldn't have to worry about getting back to work afterwards is a moot consideration.
Probably they can just do things so much better now than they could do back 20 years ago, and the whole operation will go smoother and heal faster.
I am glad that you are able to get the knee done, and that should help the gardening agility a whole bunch.

I wish you well with it, and have every reason to believe you'll do just fine.
