We're used to talking about planets as spherical objects, but a donut-shaped planet is theoretically possible. What would life be like on one of these? It might be a pretty nice place to retire!
It sounds like something out of a Terry Pratchett book! Now, if it was a real donut, made of yummy ingredients, I could definitely get on board with living there. Although, how long would it last? I guess that 'saving the earth' might be even more important on a planet made out of food! chomp
Well, as long as they have pizza, tatter tots, pot roast, french bread, brownies and tuna tomato sandwiches too with a shuttle to come and go as we please it's okay with me to have a donut planet to visit! I guess they'd have glazed donut to chocolate covered donut to visit as well, lol!
Yes, why do you think they call our galaxy the Milky Way? The milk in the galaxy goes well with the doughnut shaped planet. Interesting thought, how do planets get their shape? They always appear so perfectly shaped when you look at a map of the universe. I suppose it has something to do with their orbit patterns or some such thing, or some would say part of God's perfect design.
All right there, @Joe Riley , I wondered why this particular thread was in the conspiracy section, and not in the one for jokes; but now I have found this picture that is supposed to have been taken with one of the early satellites back in the late 1960's, and I can see that we DO actually have a serious topic here after all. I certainly did not expect to run across this picture, and I imagine that you were not expecting this outcome , either; but here it is............. We indeed ARE a donut planet !
You've heard of a pie chart....here's a donut chart! Be careful, when you stand on your head to read the bottom part.
