I follow this guy most times he has new information. His predictions using outstanding Radar software, and his meteorology education is pretty extensive as well. I've seen him warn people very early about severe weather, including tornados, hurricanes, etc. It's interesting all the competition that's developed on youtube for forecasting. Plenty of info for folks that might want to be prepared.

here's his latest video about what he is predicting, and showing what the Radar says as well, for this week:

well he admits he's been wrong, many times I hear him say that. He has a saying he uses "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst". I think we could apply that to a lot of things, more than just severe weather. Whether we prepare mentally, emotionally, spiritually or physically, I think it's all good to do.

I like the way he explains radar in terms I can better understand ;)

We are getting lots of wind today, but still a nice 83 degrees here right now. The storm should move through the Huntsville area around 8-10 tonight, and only last about an hour moving through.

65 miles from the gulf and we have a light rain nothing spectacular but the power surged a couple times as I started to write this. I think the bad weather has gone north and south of us again. A few winds now and then but still nothing to write home about.

Pretty quiet here, @Denise Happyfeet . We have been going through the storm for most of the morning and it should be over around 11-12 for us. So far, I have not even heard any thunder, or had any bad wind, just regular rain.
The sky seems like it is already looking brighter, so we are probably through most of the heavy rain.

It's more mid-State it looks like Yvonne, I don't know yet where it's going to head though. Ryan says there's poor radar coverage in some of the areas. Same in Texas. He calls them "radar holes" which is just lack of radar in those areas.
