Sorry, dear. I wish i knew what bothered you so much about the viewpoint expressed in those lyrics. Will you take a minute to tell me? Btw, I think "rich men north of Richmond" refers to the elected government in Washington, D.C.
This song is suddenly all over the Internet or at least it's in a lot of places I visit. Change is coming. It's bubbling up from the grass roots like real change does and in my mind at least it's about darn time.
It's not the lyrics; it's the delivery. His voice hurts my ears like fingernails scratching on a blackboard. Some people who think they can sing should never be allowed near a microphone.
The link tells me that it is restricted/private, so i can’t even see what it is about. Here is the song from youtube. I think that what he is saying is good, but it is not my idea of music.
