it's snowing here on the coast!! A bit of rain mixed in, but they've been getting a lot (for the Oregon Coast anyway) up in Oregon, and I'm right near the border of Oregon/California It's been odd to see the photos of snow on the beach Here's one I googled: This one is way up North near Cannon Beach OR:
If seeing that snow makes you LOL then I'm happy for you. You would have been ecstatically happy seeing the snow we get here in Canada at times.
It's just we rarely see any @Missy Lee Inland we get quite a bit, in Oregon anyway but not on the coast usually. I love BC, but the only time I got to visit we went up where it was hotter than hot, for me anyway, near Salmon Bar?? Anyway, snow here is gone already and that was enough excitement for me anyway, LOL!
At least ya'll get to see snow. Down here in Houston, Texas, I've only seen it snow three times in my 65 years. And you had to hurry if you wanted to play in it, because it was always gone by noon. I spent two years up in Boston, Mass. Everyone thought I was crazy when the first snow came. I was 18, my brownstone apartment was only three blocks from the Boston Commons. It was the first snowfall I had ever seen. I ran outside barefooted to the park, and I started rolling around in the snow, and I made snow angels until my roommate Jane drug me home before I froze.
@Denise Happyfeet That is strange seeing snow at the beach! Is that near Bandon, Oregon? That's where my brother lives now and they aren't far from the coast so I was wondering if you know where Bandon is Denise?
Yes, I know Bandon well but that is actually far North of Bandon, almost to Seaside. A lot of our beaches in Oregon look so similar, especially some of the rock formations
We had fun in the snow when I was a kid too, and we got just enough where I grew up in Roseburg Oregon
