@Steve North .. I love fish of various kinds. Unfortunately, we do not eat fish, or shrimp unless wild caught in US,, Alaska, Canada,New Zealand of the Gulf of Mexico .. main point no China, Nam, any places like that, So very hard to find fish products here easily.

MY BBQ DIED .... I had to buy a new one.. The old one was only 32 years old... Yup, 32 years old.. It was the model with lava rocks.. The new one has a heat deflector and that's all.. I will have to get used to it.. Different..
With only the 2 of us, I don't need a big one...
Supper last night was chicken thighs bone in but the skin and fat removed on my new BBQ..
Simply a lovely treat to be able to BBQ again.. I must try my burgers on it..
Someone suggested I get the sheet that goes over the grill so I can BBQ veggies as well.. I don't like it because when I do meat the fat seems to be there rather than dripping down.. Why cook in the fat??.. We like our veggies steamed..
Besides what a mess to clean up after and what do I do with the fat..

I will keep on posting what is going on with my new adventure of the BBQ....

I have discovered tillapia from South America lately. Unlike the fish from China and SE Asia, it does not taste like dirt and hope it is not contaminated.

I agree with you Mary, except where I live it is totally impossible to have any choice as where the fish comes from..
Now the other side, where I live is one of the best fresh fishing areas of all.. During the fishing season, yes I have lots of locally caught fish but during the winter months, there is no option other than get what is available..

We love fish and I try to make it at least 3 times a week if not more..

I'd like to keep hearing about your adventures in bbqing (computer says I misspelled that )
I will say that I tried bbqing one of my daughter's meat rabbits after it was recommended to me here. It was great! They have less fat than chicken, usually. It really is a bit like chicken. I usually put them in a crock pot and then amend the recipe with a bit more cooking. I like mushrooms, onions, white wine, mustard, a bit of honey, maybe sour cream and then over noodles or?

Actually I BBQ'd again tonight.. This time my homemade chicken burgers that I made some time ago and froze.. I put them on the BBQ frozen.. They are quite big as I get 5 burgers from 450g of minced chicken.. I also add herbs and spices when I make them..
I don't use burger buns when I make them as they are big enough.. We eat them with veggies and tonight we had steamed broccoli with a lemony garlic sauce over them..
For dessert I had some stewed peaches halves that I served with heavy cream and a maraschino cherry in the peach..
Pot of tea went well after that meal..

For a change and because it is very nasty out with lots of rain, I thought I would make some soul food...
    MEATLOAF...
I used minced chicken and added what I usually add and we had a lovely meal.. It was flavourful and moist..
    Steamed carrots smashed with butter..
    S/F jello with heavy cream..
    Pot of tea.......
