I am working on my desire for cookies. My last try was coconut oil, rum with vanilla beans in it, heated, add some powdered cocoa then some stevia added AFTER the liquid cools a bit, then almond flour and a dash of salt. I mix in the almond flour till thickish and the drop small dollups on a plate. Let dry for a couple of days. It is VERY rich. I did not like the first bite but it grew on me.

I made some Swiss steaks using minced chicken and I put them on the BBQ...
Talk about delicious... We had enough for a second meal..
For the second time, I made a sauce using lots of diced onions, stock, flour, herbs and spices to cook them in and to have a sauce over them....
Steamed carrots, potatoes smashed with butter and some green peas as well.. The veggies went well with the gravy..
Clementines for dessert.. They are very sweet and juicy..

    Oh My!
I have been having trouble moving hubby off junk and into a healthy diet. That could do it.
I have taken to making a big bowl of veggies (salad) including a base of cabbage and leaving it on the counter to snack on. He mostly just picks out the cauliflower and olives but it is a start.

    Supper tonight was fish...
We eat fish at least 3 times a week, sometimes 4 times..
Vegetable wise, we like a salad, steamed carrots and potatoes mashed, and steamed broccoli..

    Sausages on the BBQ tonight..
I bought some store made turkey sausages that I put on the hot grill..
I went to our garden and picked lots of fresh lettuce for a salad.. Lettuce just picked doesn't taste the same as the store bought ones.. I also picked a green onion for the salad..
Those are the only veggies that are ready..

My chicken burgers frozen on the BBQ..
I made large batch of chicken burgers and froze them some time ago, and now it is rather easy to just put a few on the BBQ.. They are about 1/3 pound each.. I serve them without a bun, just the burger with veggies which tonight was a small salad fresh from our garden and also some steamed carrots and red potatoes smashed with butter.....

Cooked porridge is a good carb .... but it what you put on it that counts..
Honey, brown sugar, syrup, are not good carbs....
