Tomorrow morning, we'll be heading off to our timeshare in Massanutten, Virginia. We'll be gone about ten or eleven days or so, depending on driving conditions, but I'll be online every day, at least at night, since it's been years since I have driven through the night.

We bought the timeshare from my brother about a decade ago but have never seen it. We've used the points to stay at other places, and have lent our week out to our pastor and his family a couple of times, and to our daughter once. It's a four-bedroom timeshare, with a patio and I don't remember what else. Everyone we've lent it to say that it's very nice, so we thought we'd go see it.

For the next couple of days, I will be online only at night. Once we get there, I'll be online off and on throughout the day, since we'll still be working online.

The bad part of traveling is that I'll miss my cats and they are never pleased when we're away. We have someone coming into to take care of them but she never even sees the two black ones because they hide from her.

Hidden cats may be the least likely to slip out an open door, as cats have been known to do.

I worry about that when I'm gone but fortunately, we have two sets of doors. So as long as the woman who is taking care of the cats makes sure the outer is closed before she opens the inner door, they can't get out.

Ha! Like an "air-lock"! Reminds me of those 1 or 2 stores along our main drag when I was a kid, that had revolving doors! They intrigued me even then. My Mother told me they blocked the cold wind from coming in. That, from a Greenhorn lady immigrant from Europe (my analysis NOW, not then!).

I still wonder how she knew in 1950 that carrots were very good for me: they had Carotene, important for the eyes.

Ever noticed people, especially those with kids, that don't take pictures of where they go. Don't even use their cell phone for pictures. We don't go to any event and not take photos. When we were at a Water Park, we had a "underwater" camera with us.

@Cody Fousnaugh , you must be going to different places than I do. Everywhere I go, I constantly see people with their cell phones in their hands, taking pictures.

If the stuff I built and experimented with years ago qualify as events, it would today be very desirable to have preserved pictures of them. Sad to say, I have very few, only memories.

We do see the same, but it’s more young kids or adults (single or married) that don’t have kids.

I just wonder how many parents, of today’s generations, have photo albums of their kids growing up? Wife and I have photos, on USB’s, going all the way back to the year we met (2000).

Unless forced to otherwise, we generally only drive until about 6:00 pm or so, and then stop for the night. We're in West Hazelton, Pennsylvania for the night, at a Comfort Inn. Going home, we might make it with only one stopover. Tomorrow, we'll have only a few hours before we arrive at our timeshare.

I think today's parents have way more photos than we ever did. My niece had her baby aug. 31 and so far Ive seen at least one or two pics of her every single day.
