As we can see the oil companies are going all out to bring down the price of oil and destroy the countries that depend on oil for survival. Or could there be another less obvious reason. We have been watching a growth in the free energy and some people have even come up with cars that will run on water. Maybe the powers to be know that the carbon fuels are coming to an end and another source of power is about to hit the market so they are trying to dump everything they can to stall this from coming. Maybe it is just a dream but I hope I am right.

Meanwhile, I am thankful that we didn't go broke trying to keep warm this winter.

A few years back, there was a successful Japanese car that ran on water, but it seemed to fade out....

They go out of there way to try and discredit most free energy. I think the real owners of this world know it is not far off and paying for time. There is many different stories of Stanley Meyer and where the truth is we will never know. The news media is owned by the same people who own the banks & oil so getting the truth from them is impossible when I read anything from the main stream news I say to myself that is what you want me to believe the [you] who have been lying for years.
Here is a few websites on free energy.

It would be good to see the cost of energy go down. The increased use of solar heating will help the planet save more of its natural resources. I think those of us that live in the areas that have the really hard winters should all have some sort of solar power so that we are not completely in the dark when power goes out.

I think part of the reason why oil prices are low is because Saudi Arabia and other OPEC countries are trying to inhibit other countries like Iran from making a lot of money off their oil. Sure the Sauds are dependent on oil prices as well, but the article I read said they were SO RICH they could afford to swallow a bit profit in order to keep Iran from taking over the region. In any case, I am kind of expecting a major blowup in the middle east fairly soon and it will be interesting to see what happens to gas prices then!

Saudi Arabia can not balance their budget and need to sell more oil to do so. The game they are playing is back firing on them

We have been adding the outside solar lamps as we can afford to buy them. A few years ago, we had really bad tornadoes here in Alabama, and we had no power for almost two weeks afterwards. Stores were closed , and even most roads were impassable; so what ever you did not already have, you had to do without.
We were not well prepared; but we did have the little solar lamps out along the driveway; so we put them out every day to charge and carried them inside at night to use like candles. They did not put out much light; but enough that we could at least find our way around.
We had one of those little propane fireplaces that you use outside on the patio, and that is how we heaated water and made instant coffee in the mornings.
Having some solar lights is a great idea, and we are adding a few more solar things as we can.

In fairness to our pesident who is an economist and thanks also to the world market, the price of unleaded gasoline here stagnates at 42 pesos per liter, that's about 1 dollar per liter. some 3 years ago, the price reached a high of 54 pesos and our economist president applied his learnings and the gasoline price slowly went down in a year's time. Looking good.

Another plus, with the lower cost of gasoline, the transportation cost has been decreased. Minimum fare in buses and trains have been slashed. But do you see people smiling? No. Maybe because being grumpy is in our culture, huh.
