Mia is a mouse. But not an ordinary mouse. Mia is a most extraordinary mouse. Mia was created by @Louise Williams and sent to Miss Shirley Martin as a gift. She was brought to life by love. It was love at first sight when Miss Shirley saw Mia. The first thing we had to do was have her first check-up at the doctor. First we had to sign in. While we were waiting, Mia played with the toys in the children's area. The nurse weighed Mia. She weighed 4 ounces. That's the perfect weight for a mouse. Then she measured Mia. She was 13½ inches. That's the perfect length for a mouse. Then the doctor listened to her heart. It was a perfect heart for a mouse. She got her first mouse shots. The doctor put a band aid over her oopsie where she got the shot. And gave her a sticker for being such a good girl about getting her shot. That's all it will let me upload now. Stay tuned for all of Mia's adventures and (shudder) misadventures.
Oh my. the Adventures of Mia Mouse.!! she must be getting older now? been so long ago.. i'm so excited to see the next adventures of Mia Mouse.. by the way , do you recall this little guy who got clawed by a Maine Lobster?? seems to me there was a story there too,,lol Speaking of Lobsters. im inviting Shirley and Ken to my Lobster Easter feed ..
I was going to Walmart one day. I decided to take Mia with me. She had never been shopping. We looked at the flowers. Then the jewelry. She wanted to look at toys. We saw some gnomes. She liked them. We looked at some hardware. She wasn't too interested in that. We tried on a hat. It was a little bit too big. Then we went to the shoe department. She saw some ruby red slippers! She loved them. Fortunately we found a pair just her size. And a dress to match. She dreams of being a famous ballerina.
Hey @Shirley Martin did you buy those pink earrings for Mia I wonder did she throw a wobbly ( tantrum ) in the sweats isle or do they have a Sweet free check out to,save other shoppers from screaming kids. I love the red shoes
Oh my Cod! i loved the shoes , Shirley. does Mia still have them? she is sooo sweet.. She still looks as sweet as the day she was born !!,LOL
We tried on the pink earrings. Then some blue ones. Then we saw some black ones. She liked them. They match her eyes. We bought them. We bought a hat for her to wear to the Royal Wedding. Do you think it's suitable to wear to the Royal Wedding? And just in case they ask her to be a flower girl:
I vote she wear the black earrings to the wedding they suit her beautiful eyes .She did a good job picking out a suitable hat ....What necklace might she be wearing to match her earrings @Shirley Martin
Mia takes a trip We went to Pigeon Forge. We spent the first night in a log cabin on the side of a mountain. There was another house at the top of the mountain. Mia liked sitting on the deck rail but she had to hold on to keep from falling. It was a long way down. There was another mountain behind her.
The next day we went to the Judaculla Rock. The Judaculla Rock was a sacred site for the Cherokee Indians before the colonization of North America, and this engraved soapstone boulder can still be visited in western North Carolina. The Cherokees believed Juaculla (or Tsul’Kalu) an ancient giant-like creature, landed on the rock while jumping from one mountain to another, and thus the rock bears his seven-fingered hand print. There is lingering folklore about ghost sounds being heard around the rock at night, made spookier by the location of a cemetery a few hundred feet away. Mia wanted to sit on top of the rock pillar. She thought the signs were interesting. Mia enjoyed seeing the Judaculla Rock.
Next we found a beautiful mountain lake, Bear lake. Mia wanted to go fishing but we left our fishing gear at home. We saw a man on a big boat. He didn't ask us to go fishing with him. But Mia had fun just looking. Then on to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood.
We were browsing through a gift shop in The Island at Pigeon Forge when I saw the perfect necklace for Mia to wear to the Royal Wedding. Isn't it lovely? I think it's very becoming on her. She loves it. Our invitation still hasn't arrived. I'm sure it will be here any day now.
