We had an experience with the monkeys late last year. In the mountain resort, there was a road where monkeys wait by the side for passersby to throw food. We stopped by to take photos and gave the monkeys some crackers. And then the monkeys got bolder and approached our car. Even if the windows were shut, we were shouting inside the car because the monkeys were trying to enter. One of the residents told us that monkeys should not be fed because they become daring. There was an incident when a van with open windows stopped by and fed the monkeys. One monkey was able to enter the van so the people ran out of the van. It took a while before the monkey left the van.
Okay, it took me time to find the photo late last year. There were around 30 to 50 monkeys of all sizes. Half are on the ground and half are up the big trees by the road. We were having so much fun in feeding the monkeys because admittedly, you don't see live monkeys everyday. My husband was out of the car and he was also feeding the monkeys and at the same time shooting them with the camera. And then there was this big monkey, probably the patriarch of the alpha male, that ran to my husband and grabbed his hand. Instinctively, my husband pulled his hand when heard us shouting from the car. It was a close encounter, hahahaaa. And after that scene, he too a shot at us. We didn't know that some monkeys were coming to the car. That's when we shut all the windows.
