My Childhood Amusement Park: Riverview, Chicago

    One of the world's foremost amusement parks, the location of innumerable young experiences. How I have missed it.....

    The main entrance gates, facing Western Avenue

    One of the most amazing "rides", Aladdin's Castle. You had to walk through while encountering numerous hazards to your progress, including this:

    Big wooden barrel on it's side, rotating slowly, to continue on, you had to "walk" through it! I found, if you walked at an angle, no sweat, right on through! (I passed Physics in high school).

    I also have many fond memories of RiverView..I went to high school next door Lane Tech... 001.gif
