I need to replace my mouse... but can't for a few days yet. Anyhow, it's double clicking and driving me [more] batty. When I click "like" on a post, it double and triple clicks. I can deal with that for a few days, *but* is it giving you guys notifications that I'm clicking "like unlike like unlike like unlike" for the same post?
I don't have a mouse, just a finger and it sometimes does weird things too. I've done the like unlike thing a few times. I've gotten friends on Facebook by accident.
Oh yeah, I've done that... I think... (I hope!) I caught them and removed the request in time, but I know that people get notifications in their mailbox so they still see it. Facebook used to ask (years ago) if you're sure you want to request an add. That gave an extra layer of protection, but they don't ask any longer.
No they don't do that now. I've kept the friends just never really talk to them. It was a friend of a friend. Had a nice chat with the person when it happened but I still get his stuff in my feed and really doesn't interest me. I usually just look on FB in the morning and go down the page and like everything. I seldom share no matter what it is. I also avoid religious or political stuff, those I won't even like. I always wish people happy bdays. That's about it on Facebook. I'm on my iPhone now and don't even know what the topic of this post is but I bet it's not Facebook.
Topic was my mouse, but since it's embarrassed me in Facebook, it's close enough! Besides, I like when topics I start go off-topic. It's very natural and the way people talk... so how 'bout those Steelers?
Back on my ipad now and yes Facebook would still be on topic...kind of. Steelers? Is it football season already? If it is, I have to say "Go 49ers" but my heart belongs to the Chicago teams, Da Bears.
I have no idea when football season is. I guess in the fall. Maybe they're in training now or something. But those uniforms would get so hot in July! See how I go off-track?! I even totally derail sometimes but... go Phillies. Now we're into baseball. (Before I start talking about sushi or an Alaskan cruise or something though, are your notifications coming "like dislike, like dislike" or is it just catching the last one that "stuck" for me?)
Our home desktop's keyboard had broken keys so we had no choice but to get a replacement. For a mere $5 in the Chinese electronics store, I bought a new keyboard with a free mouse to boot - they are both wireless. Exciting, isn't it? Upon testing, the keyboard looks okay but after some time, it would repeat a key for maybe 20 to 30 times. We still don't know the cause of that continual problem. With the wireless mouse, it's really strange with the movement and also with the button so we attached the old mouse which is working well anyway. The wireless keyboard has been in use for half a year, I guess, and we can live with it for now. But with the wireless mouse, it's there in the storage for a probable museum piece in the future.
I don't have my alerts set this time around. So, I don't get notified. My last time here I did. Just didn't bother setting it this time so I won't even know if you like or unlike something. I should set them but sometimes it got to be too much, I'd wake up with 40 alerts. Now that most of my friends aren't here it might be less...a lot less.
Okay, thanks... I didn't know they could be turned off. I'll just wait until someone yells at me for liking and disliking the same post and then I'll know. hehe
@Chrissy Page , Like - Like - Like - Like - Like Now see, without alerts you'll never know just how much I like you. So I guess it's boo hoo time for me. No wonder I thought you were mad at me.
Thank you, kind @Patsy Faye ... but I already have one of those and it doesn't work. She's really good with begging for food and sleeping, but I'm afraid she wouldn't know what to do with a mouse!! Pampered and spoiled to the max!
