I agree completely, @Peter Renfro . I think that for the most part, all of us who live here in the United States do love our country, and we are patriotic people. As i have said before, my daughter, Robin, whom I love more than anyone in the whole world, and who is deeply patriotic, hates President Trump passionately . She served in our military, and would probably still be there if it were not for the severe medical issues that forced her to leave the military. Even so, she works for contractors that help make training equipment for the military. I raised her, and shared with her all of my values about God and Country, so I know absolutely how she was taught growing up. My oldest son, in Idaho, also voted for Hillary last time, although I do not know who he is voting for this time around. Maybe one of the minority candidates. He was a deputy there for the sheriff’s department for many years, and also as a reserve after that. He also loves to hunt; so I know that he is against defunding police, and gun control. I think that it is important to remember that, no matter what we think about politics and government, we are all human beings, and should treat each other respectfully.
I was just telling my husband that they should prohibit "the media" (ALL OF THEM) from reporting any early returns on election day. They should be muzzled until tomorrow at a minimum.
Watching all the illegal voting, poll watching, and even taking bit chute off the air. censorship running wild.
My husband was out running some errands earlier and drove by the local polling place. He said it was practically deserted! So no crush of voters locally, though it may pick up as people get off work.
@Terry Coywin , have you ever heard the phrase, "Don't feed the troll?' I turned the TV on for maybe 10 minutes earlier today just out of curiosity. That's all the time it took for me to get tired of the talking heads. So many words, so little meaning. I'll probably turn it on again later tonight to see if there are any results in.
In my state and my district (here in Virginia), nearly 50% of the voters cast their ballot before today.
