The year of 1958 always sticks in my memory as a turning point in my life, I first learned to drive and left the Technical College I attended, starting as an apprentice in the Television trade, commencing a 6 year course in Television and Video theory and practice.

Everything seemed to be on the up and the first vinyl stereo discs became available in the UK. I think I bought 10 albums in the first year.

    How the world has changed:
February 1 Egypt and Syria unite to form the United Arab Republic.

Do you have a special or significant year or years?

    Memorable year?? How about ***6??
    1946 Born
1956 Closed our country school and sent to "city school"
1966 Married the love of my life
1976 Father-in-law passed unexpectedly as entirely too young of an age.
    Daughter was born
1986 My Mother passed after fighting breast cancer for 10 years.
    1996 Daughter married
    Mother-in-law passed

Can't remember anything of major consequence in 2006. And, hoping nothing of significant memory comes our way in 2016. However....

2016 Will celebrate 50th Wedding anniversary
Daughter will celebrate 20th wedding anniversary
    I'll turn 70
    Daughter will turn 40
Other daughter will celebrate 20 years at your job

Seems "the sixes" have been eventful.......

Yes I guess it could have been titled "Years" funnily enough I got married in 1968 but apart from wedding anniversaries, I can't recall anything in the other ***8s

I think my most memorable year was 1997, it's what I use to remember other things.

In June of that year my daughter got married.
In August my beloved grandmother died
In October we moved to Hungary for 6 years
    In December my father died.

Of course my most traumatic year was 2004, on June 25 my husband died. :( that was also the year my son got married, at least he got to see that although he was very sick by then and it took a lot to get him to Illinois but I did it! Sad thing though is he never got to see my son's 3 boys. They did name the first one after him...Gabriel Christian. :)

1945. My dad and all my uncles came home from WW2. Most were strangers to me then, as they left for the military while I'm was still a wee snot. All of a sudden, all these strangers appeared in my life. They gave me lots of neat stuff though. Army cartridge belts, helmets, badges, canteens, and other gear. I thought I'm died and went to heaven.
1951-2. Got my first of many real guns.
1958. Graduated high school, got a steady job, bought a car.

th (19).jpe My very first gun. A Remington model 11/48 20 Ga. semi auto shotgun. My grandson has it now and it still works good as ever.

In my life I always instill in my mind memorable dates which I will cherished in my whole lifetime. Some of the years that I always remembered are:

Year 1986....When I graduated in College which made my parents proud and happy
Year 1987...When I was first employed as an Accounting Staff in a certain company where I learned many things that I had used in my succeeding jobs
    Year 1994...When my father died
    Year 2012...When I got married
Year 2013...When I migrated to another country

This are the years that I will always remembered and cherished in in my lifetime.

:oops:Ahh, one of my most memorable year was 1972, when I graduated from high school. I still have my diploma tucked away in my photo album too. My Mom gave me a party, I went to my friends party too and got to my party a bit late. My Grandfather bought me a Toyota for my Graduation present. Ahh yes one of my most memorable year of fond memories. I often transport myself back there remembering the day's events as if it were yesterday, everyone still alive except for Grandma. It was better times and so young nothing to worry about much back then.
