I forgot all about it. Planted about 10 years ago and it’s in the front and on border with neighbor but not in plain view so I never see it.

Today I just happened to glance over there and saw something orange....I’ll pick one later when it’s warmer outside.

Forgot what type of tree it is...might not even be an orange but something similar.

No, wasn’t close to it....just zoomed in with my iPhone.

Just saw it as I was pulling into my garage after Curves. Went to take a pic and that was as far as I got before I ran in the house....brrrr.

    Too chilly for me, lol.

    I’ll go out later....

We had a really nice satsuma bush that produced delicious fruit...but when our new landlord starting building on the big lot in front of us...he cut it down. :(

I hope the fruit from your bush is yummy Chrissy. :)

Chrissy, when you say it's cold, how cold is it? When you say it will be warmer later, how warm will it be?

It was about 45 when I got home from Curves at 8:30 this morning....will be about 60 later.

But the sun here makes all the difference...60 and sunny feels like 70 here.

Before Christmas I had a woman knock on my door...said she was from Fresno AG and they were going around checking all fruit trees for some new breed of fruit fly that’s never been in Fresno.

She said she tagged my tree and it does have that fruit fly. I wasn’t bothered by it because in my mind it never had any fruit on it and so told her she can remove it if she wanted...she said No..it’s healthy etc and they’re just tagging to see about this fruit fly.

Pickles was barking like crazy so I didn’t even hear everything she said...then I went to my daughter’s and forgot about it and didn’t even look at the tag.

    Will look later....:)

Yes it's nice to have citrus trees . We have orange and lemon groves at our house in Spain... and daughter planted some orange trees a couple of years ago, and they are all bearing fruit now...

You can just see a little bit of some in this picture taken of the dogs a couple of weeks ago.....

I go thru at least 15 miles of orange orchards when I go to my daughter’s....it’s a shortcut that saves me about 20 mins driving time. There is a paved road thru there so it’s not like I’m driving between trees, lol....so I’m used to seeing them but I was very surprised to see the little Bush in my front yard..just never thought it bore fruit. :)

It’s not all oranges either...there are nut trees and some vineyards too.

At times even the side of the road is full of oranges that have fallen...think it’s against the law to get them.

I always wondered why they didn’t give them to the homeless or something like that.

My wife has a little lemon tree indoors (of course, because we live in Maine). I don't know that it was intended to be a miniature but it never seems to get any larger. The first year and a half, it would produce blossoms but no fruit. Then when it started growing fruit, they would drop off before reaching the size of a marble. But last year she had four normal sized lemons. One of them fell before ripening but the others ripened. Now she has five or six of them that are just starting (less than the size of a pea). I don't know how so tiny of a tree can even bear the weight of a full-sized lemon.
