I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which ...

I don't mean to digress this thread further into a religious argument but am surprised that no one's made this point yet:

All of us here seem to have a sense that the killing of innocent lives is wrong. I believe that's because it's innately written on our conscience (as the Bible says). However, to the committed, consistent Atheist or evolutionist, there is no rationale for such feelings of objective morality since life is composed only of chance chemical processes. Thus, anything goes, including murder, rape, and war crimes. It should be no surprise that the vast majority of war related deaths over the past century (100+ million) were caused by Atheist regimes.

This doesn't excuse the Christian or Muslim nations from any of their excessive violence, but it does suggest reasons for Russia, China, North Korea, and other Godless nations to pursue their goals without conscience.

Having read first, the Bible, and later, Fifty years in the church of rome, by a priest exposing them,

the cause of wars is plainly declared, and is worse by so-called 'Christendom' , than by the so-called 'pagans'.

They don't need a reason to kill, steal and destroy - they to as their father/ god/ religion tells them. Even the so-called 'pagan' groups / nations are immeasurably controlled by the same evil power as rome, as disclosed in Fifty years, by chiniquoy and thousands of other defectors from the false deceptive religion over centuries.

in the usa, over a million innocent deaths every year, by almost every group. His Perfect judgment is building up, in wrath, as God Says.

I thought we were talking about wars and if we are, I expect morility has gone out of war. We can look at every other country but if we stood on top of the
world, this round globe, as it were, and looked at what has gone over the last few hundred years, I think we'd find, we and other observers, that the USA
leads the packas a warlike nation, brutality in war, and the record would show we caan match any other other country. Our religions, I expect, offer no
remedies, but only a cover for our own eyes and thought. We are good at fooling our own selves.
