I lived on 15th street and the First Unitarian Church of Oakland was on 14th street. I would often ride my bike in the church court yard. The pastor stopped me one day and asked where I lived and I told him. He then asked me if I went to church and I told him I had been to Lakeside Baptist Church but never attended. He then took me for a tour of his church and up into the tower because I expressed interest in it. I continued riding my bike in the courtyard but never attended the church.
