I’m glad you had a wonderful day on the anniversary of your birth Beth! How about since I’m a day late that I wish you a much Blessed and Happy Day After Your Birthday!! ?
Glad to hear things are going well Beth and belated Birthday wishes too. Glad your special day was blessed.
Frank--I finally sat down with the Aetna statement; the ~$91,000 is for January through March 2021. Interestingly, it shows the amount billed by MD Anderson and then the "negotiated" amount that was actually paid by Aetna (which is significantly less). Honestly, I don't understand most of the insurance double-speak, so I focus on the part that says I don't owe anything since my OOP is satisfied. I notice that several high-dollar items were denied by Aetna (one MRI for instance) so I suppose that will be between Aetna and MDA to settle. I feel extremely blessed to have insurance coverage at this point. I have paid premiums for a lifetime, mostly healthy and never "needing" insurance. Now that I need it, I'm totally glad that it's there.
Thanks, Bobby. Today I definitely have lost my luster; I'm feeling pretty low. Out of the blue I'm suddenly bone-tired and dragging around like a sick person. Ugh.
I wish I had a tape of my Army basic training drill sergeant and I would send it to ya. Such a gentle person he was. He tucked us into bed at night and woke us each morning. Lovely. Furthermore, he made sure that no matter how sick I was after I got the flu shot, I was made fully aware that his wonderfully spit shined boot would come in contact with my young posterior if I failed to make the 10 mile run before morning chow. Marvelous motivational speaker! And such charisma! Ah the memories...(snork sniff)
@Beth Gallagher There will be days like this, allow yourself to rest up and enjoy the forum, or tv or a hobby when your upto that. Went to get med filled for Marks athletes foot. Bomb drop..over $600! Um pharamcy has call into doctor for something less expensive. Mark asked about his new medicine..my comment ' looks like your foot may rot off'
Had a bad case several years ago that OTC stuff wouldn’t touch so I prepared a 10/1 solution of bleach and water and soaked my feet in it. Powdered my feet with athletes foot powder afterward just to keep my feet dry and it worked like a charm. Yeah, stings a bit but so does some of the foot medicine. And yeah Beth, what Gloria said.....
Thanks. But we have tried all home remedies before none seem to work. Same doctor treated mind two years ago and meds no where near that. However his is much worse.
That's a lot of money!!! My friend who owns his own greenhouse got some weird infection back in 2014 or so, and they had to keep cutting the dead pieces of his foot away. It took several years before he was really over it, and that was with guarded care. It seems that foot issues can be extremely serious, and very difficult to remediate. Tell Mark that all you have is $300, so he's gonna have to make a choice: right or left.
I'm turning into a slug, Gloria. Yesterday I was going to move the new mattress out of the bedroom so that I could shampoo the carpet in there. Try as I might, I could not budge that mattress. I have always been pretty strong and could manage to man-handle stuff by myself, but I couldn't move that thing an inch. I got so frustrated that I sat in the floor and bawled like a 5-year old. Good Lord... $600 for athlete's foot medicine??? What the hell. I hope you can find a cheaper alternative.
