Thanks, Marie. And don't be silly; I'm sure your pain is horrible and debilitating and I wish I had a solution for you. I just hate that you are suffering. It's hard to function when you hurt all the damn time. I've had a lot of nerve pain from surgery; they cut a bunch of nerves to remove the breast tissue and lymph nodes. Along the scar, my underarm, and the back of my upper arm have a lot of numbness, tightness, and burning pain. It's annoying and uncomfortable, but I wouldn't rate it as a high pain level. I have cried in frustration because I'm just so tired of all of this crap... but then again, I'm still alive so there's that.
Well, I could tell you a Cousin LeeRoy and his brother BillyBob story to really cheer you up. Or make you smile that you don't have to read another one.
@Marie Mallery Thank you but you know, if you’re feeling unbearable bad pain then there’s no need to feel guilty about complaining. We all have to bear pain either physical or mental at some time in our lives.
No, but I carelessly logged in without thinking, so I may impose it again. I will reconsider after I have a bowl of homemade chili and cornbread. it smells so good I got lost and confused. Also, I have been exceedingly good and even did a good deed for an old neighbor. She got rid of her female cats but one of her doors was all swollen and stunk at the bottom from years of cat piss. She was quoted a high price for a new door so I took the door and sawed out the damage and put in a new strip of wood and it looked excellent and smells fine. How are you doing with the radiation? Are you glowing in the dark yet? I had a funny joke for you but I forgot to write it down. I may add a day to my ban under consideration because that joke was a real panty wetter.
Oh, you've been busy doing good deeds again. Atta girl. Chili and cornbread sounds really good; I'll have to duplicate that in the near future. Bring on the joke; I could use one. Rads are going OK; I'm still not having any ill effects except a feeling of a lump in my throat. I'll be halfway done with this on Friday.
The chili was awesome! I added a tad more yellow mustard than usual and it was great. It had a beautiful red color with less chili powder and more hot Spanish paprika. I will lift my ban for another day if the joke comes back to mind. So glad no bad problems with the radiation and they are half done.
I LOVE yellow mustard in chili! I always top off my bowl with a big swirl of mustard and about half of a small onion, chopped. (And if no cornbread, a handful of Fritos to maintain my healthy lifestyle.)
Yes!!! Great choice of toppings! I always cook yellow mustard in the chili but a bit on top with chopped white onion just adds to it. I sauteed the yellow local sweet onions with the beef and that really makes for flavor before adding the beans. I let the beans sautee for a few with the beef and onions before adding the tomato sauce. Nearing my bedtime as the darkness nears at 1730 hours. If I don't log in tomorrow morning, it means I ban myself for failing to remember a great funny story.
I'll be thinking of you and your wife tomorrow, Tony. Keeping fingers crossed and hoping that she'll get a good report.
