Wow, your sweet potato plant seems to be doing very well @Shirley Martin. That would probably be something good for me to try to grow. I've never seen barn swallows before, I'm so glad you shared your pictures. I was having trouble capturing the golden color of the sky today, but I finally got a somewhat decent picture. sunrise golden.jpg

Thanks @Shirley Martin. I think the light is filtered/blocked because of all of the trees/leaves, but it sure keeps the balcony cooler, at least until the sun surpasses the trees. It's funny, my tablet I used to have actually took better pictures of sunrises/sets than my digital camera and this phone, at least as far as color. Sometimes if I tip the phone/cam I can get a better shot. When things cool off and there's less traffic, hopefully I can go down to the beach and get some really nice sunrise pics.

It's been an interesting day, weather wise. I love watching the sky to see what will happen, especially during these periods where the weather changes frequently. Here are a few pictures I took earlier, just a few minutes apart. blue sky filmy clouds.jpg darkening sky.jpg

I like watching the clouds, too. I saw one the other day that looked like a puppy running. I didn't get to take a picture of it, though.

Ha, that might have needed a video, not a still picture ;). I've been too busy to look outside today, other than to pull/treat weeds. I can see some clouds up there, but it's still super hot outside, and I'm trying to cool down from being out there. I'll be hanging inside for the rest of the day, except maybe to take the kitties out for a romp on the balcony. I'll see if I see any interesting clouds later, and if I do, I'll try to get some pictures.
