My kids have been in the same offices since they bought them....although my son in law would like to sell the one office he has.

They want to retire early because they're sick of dentistry.

I hear a lot of stories about weird patients.

I have never heard the one question rule...I ask a lot of different things.

After the nurse does my vitals, she asks what I want to talk to the dr about and I have a whole list and she puts it into the computer and then we discuss them when my dr comes in.

Ive been going to the same dr since I moved to Fresno in 2003.

Bottom line healthcare is Not what it use to be. One office one doctor and maybe a nurse and an office person. You got one bill and were treated for whatever was wrong. Now you must see different dr for whatever area or problem you have. All the more reason I am becoming selective on who I pay and when.

True about referrals but all my referrals were legit like physical therapy. Other than my tests like MRI and mammogram etc...I just go to him...he has all the info from my tests and even PT and we discuss it all.

I tell him my arm is better after PT and things like that. Everything I'm tested for is in their computer.

And since Medicare I don't pay a cent which is the best part.

It depends where you live. States like Colorado and California the people seem more health conscious. The Midwest I see a lot overweight.

In California it seems the only overweight people I see are the Hispanics and I'm not being racist just obeservant.

It's their diet mainly I think.

Yes I've noticed that - over here, no such divide - we're getting bigger (not me though) :p
I doubt the up and coming generation will lapse though, lot of pressure to be thin - there again there's a lot of stress
about and some people comfort eat

I don't see fat kids around here and even with the Hispanics it's the older generation that's overweight.

Ive gone to enough school programs and sports events involving all my grandsons and it's rare for me to see a fatter kid...there are a few but not many.

Some of these kids are too skinny as you say @Patsy Faye.

Apparently there are a lot of obese children in our schools, the parents over eat so the kids follow suit
Also I see them on the way to school eating crisps and drinking fizzy drinks, some schools are banning
    these things.
When they get too teenage years, they will probably slim down, but not all

I just don't see many fat kids. I'm sitting here going through all the kids Ive seen in that last 18 yrs and none are fat.

All 5 of my grandsons are on the thinner side.

They might eat but they all do sports and are pretty active.

Might be that sweets aren't in their diets too much since the parents are dentists but their friends are thin also. None were raised on sugary soda. It was a rare treat and still is. They don't drink diet pop but do drink water and an occasional fruit juice or skim milk.

Ive even been home room helper in the California grandsons classes and only one fat child creeps into my mind....and he was Hispanic...still is, lol.

When I was there last week and picking up the eight grader from school I was looking at all the kids leaving and they all looked good.

Here is the oldest grandson last year, he's the one wearing sunglasses. He's probably the heaviest out of the 5...he does workout regularly to build muscle and he surfs almost every weekend.
