    THANK YOU, Bobby!
Perhaps this will help these ladies understand better. Perhaps not.
Like mine, you have a GREAT wife also!

I made a mistake, Chrissy, on one of my replies. It is true that my wife loved NFL, before meeting me, but didn't do the other things. However, she did put on her Western attire, including her cowboy hat, and go out (by herself) on some Friday and Saturday nights to a Country-Western nightclub and Line Dance or 2-Step. Never met and got involved with a guy she danced with, but she did go out. She told me she was back home by 11 or midnight. She also got into Square Dancing. Graduated from a Square Dance Class, bought the dresses and petty coats and even wore her felt cowboy hat. The only lady at the Square Dance with a black cowboy hat on and she looked really cool.

What can I say, the lady liked dancing. We done some Country-Western dancing in Colorado, but it's not done here. We checked to make sure. Apparently, "Redneck" men and women don't dance here like cowboys/cowgirls do in Colorado.

Don't forget all the hard work and research, etc. she had done not only to improve her own health and make her heart stronger but to improve yours too. @Yvonne Smith is definitely a woman and wife that would make any man proud! :)

I think also that it is awesome that @Cody Fousnaugh is so proud of his wife, and that he says so to everyone. From what he tells us, they are perfect for each other, and that is what is important.
We ALL have our special talents and abilities, as well as things we enjoy doing for fun, but they are not all the same talents.
As another example, we can look at Bobby and I.
Bobby doesn’t go to shooting ranges, doesn’t have a speedboat, does not care a bit about football or nascar, and he certainly does NOT want to live in either Colorado or Wyoming.
Fortunately for both of us, this is perfectly fine for us as a couple, and we are compatible and happy with each other.
So, to my way of thinking, it is not what a person can or can’t do that makes them so special ; it is that the husband and wife are happy with each other as they are, and that is the important part.

    True.
The total point I was making was that Every woman (and man) has something about them that their mate can say that she or he is the best at whatever it is that they do. Whether a lady won a beauty contest or has a cat-o-nine tail instead of a tongue, there is something that her mate can relate to and a reason for the marriage.
For most men, betting on a football team to win instead of figuratively betting on the attributes of their wives is a far better and more manly thing to do.
Although @Cody Fousnaugh might seem a little too proud about the attributes of his own wife, I am doubly sure that his wife thoroughly enjoyed reading his praise of her.
What the heck, maybe she can outshoot, out fish, out dance and possibly out spit most men but who am I to say she isn't? To him, she's the best thing since hog jowls and cabbage.

Please also read the rest of Bobby’s post. It explains basically what I’m taking about, dealing with my wife. Some of the things she does, isn’t common for here for a woman to do. That’s what this Thread is about.

I have no problem with @Cody Fousnaugh being really proud of his wife for her accomplishments. Most men and women are proud of their spouses for just as many reasons as Cody is.

It was Cody's referral to those things his wife does as being "manly" that irked me. I have been doing those same "manly" things for years and years...plus others and do not consider them manly...only interesting, necessary, or just a part of life that we choose to make a part of our lives no matter what gender we are.

There was a time voting was only considered a "manly" thing...let's not go back to those days!

Ok, I’ll set this straight right now, I was saying the word “manly” as a term, not to be “mancho.
I was referring to how young guys don’t necessarily like young women doing these things.
However, there are things in this world that some women don’t do or are not interested in at all. Some of those women would even say the word “manly” when describing things their boyfriend or husband might do that they definitely wouldn’t.

Ladies at home would say, “my husband is on a hunting trip”, “my husband is on a fishing trip” or even “my husband is on a rodeo circuit this summer”. All without the ladies being with them.

What's mancho? Do you mean macho?

Ive said my husband is on a hunting trip many times because sometimes he went alone but there were shorter trips that I went also.

I think you are starting to beat a dead horse here @Cody Fousnaugh

In fact, there are men out there, mostly young ones, that can think that some women do things that are too “manly”.
Just like many ladies like smelling beautiful flowers, whereas not many men will do that. How many men use an iron. I do, but it sure isn’t “manly”. How many men will run a vacuum or mop the floors in their home? That is considered a “woman’s job” by many men. I do it, because it don’t bother me to do and besides that, my wife works a full-time job and I’m at home.

Get the ideas yet ladies? The difference between “manly” and not (or, not so) “manly”. There are women that don’t want to do “men” type things and men that don’t want to do “women” type things.

If you went with him sometimes, that’s fine, but there are women out that have absolutely no interest in guns, let alone hunting. They will say, “that’s my husbands fun thing to do, definitely not mine. I enjoy sewing and knitting and he sure won’t do that!”

That’s your son! That’s definitely not all of the son’s in America!
I’m not “out of touch”, you just haven’t met and talked to the young guys we have.

The guys we talked to at the boat ramp, who had just got back from fishing, when I asked them where the ladies were, they said “at home where they are suppose to be”.

What do think about what these young dudes said, ladies??

A woman could easily say, “you want me to have a heart attack, walking into my sewing room and seeing my husband using our sewing machine. That would definitely be a Kodak moment”.

There are those people that wonder why our boat only goes out with both of us on it. I tell them that I don’t take it out unless wife is with me. Some guys think that is very strange.

I don’t go to the range without her. Again, strange to some guys.
