The lemons are turning yellow now; will be taking them off soon and freeze the bulk of them, will last all winter, on lemon juice, or all the other things Marie uses them for, want have to buy any for her.
I used to keep a batch of homemade lemonade concentrate in the fridge. It was great for sweetening iced tea.
Finally, I took all the lemons off this lemon tree, and now it's standing back up straight. Got more than five buckets "full", of lemons, off it.
I usually get my lemons from the cars I buy. I can't see the image so I'll have t o use my imagination, oh! how wonderful!!!
The lemons taste good but don't look like the perfect yellow ones in stores, so I don't think many would want them. I usually put extra plants on the frontage for neighbors and they take them up, but Umbrella ,Cana Lily and Aloe Vera other ornamentals look great, lemons not so much, I almost put them out front but realized nobody would want them. We have about 50 in the freezer now. They are also full of seeds.
Sometimes when fruits look off it is because they are organic and natural. Put a note with them next season. Even our commercial orchard puts the apples that are not perfect out at a discount and people buy them. (nor organic like ours ) Of course sometimes ours need prepping because of extra protein.
