All 3 were experiments. Except for things like spaghetti, I never cook whole meals from scratch. This was an attempt at chicken pot pie, using cream of potato soup. It turned out pretty good, but I can't make pie crust. Does using 2 cake pans, with space between, really keep the middle of a layer cake from bulging up? I happened to have two flexible round pans from store bought dinner rolls. The answer is Yes. I was surprised. Pumpkin pie. Store bought crust. Using lowfat milk instead of canned milk. Cut back on spices a little because the fat in canned milk overwhelms the spices.
Looks delicious to me, Nancy. That's a neat trick, with pans to stop bulging, so I learn a new trick too. I would be fine with store-bought crust and have used it too. But making homemade crust is quite easy for me, so I'm used to doing it that way. Seems to me you may have mentioned this to me before, about the homemade crust, not sure. Your food looks great and thanks to you for sharing them. I love seeing food, made in different ways by others. Always learning new stuff to try, and seeing is believing.
Baby Green and white lima's and pintos, and the bar on the right we built 35 years ago. You can't beat this All-American Canner, expensive but well worth it in the long run.
My Homegrown organic apricots @Jake Smith Im Australian so we are just into spring time so my tree is full of blossom right now despite it still being winter temps and raining most days ( unusual for us)
Did other canners like @Marie Mallery know ball mason is no longer making jars of lids they sold the jars production off in 2019 so I’ve been wondering why i couldn’t get any of the flat disc type lids
Kate, I didn't realize this no wonder they are so hard to find, which we don't need any since we have 200 different size jars and once the lids were hard to find we stocked up on those too. Thanks for the update though.
