An elderly farmer called his son, who was in jail awaiting trial for murder. "I am unable to plant a garden this year," he said. "I am too old to dig the ground and you are not here to help me." The son replied, "Do not dig in the garden! That's where I buried the body." Of course, jail officials were monitoring his telephone calls, so the next day the police were at his father's house. They dug up the entire garden, but found nothing. When the son's father called his son in jail to tell him what had happened, and that the garden was now all dug up, his son said, "Now plant your garden, Dad. That was the best I could do from here."
