Financial advisor sent me something to fill out in a pdf file. I can open it , but I need to type on the form and I can not do that. My 2004 printer does not seem to work on the Chromebook Os . Is there another way to do this? If not I may have to take laptop to library and see if I can print from there.
Do you have a PDF reader? I don't know anything about Chromebook, but I can usually use a reader to sign a PDF on my PC. I am sure someone here knows more than I do.
My dentist sent me forms to fill out and I had no idea how. So I tried pushing two fingers on the mouse pad and used another finger as a pen. Whodda thunk? It worked.
Maybe try a search on youtube for how to print from your chromebook, @Hedi Mitchell . They are very adaptable laptops, just work a little differently than other brands. Here is one good youtube channel for Chromebook information, designed just for seniors, and another good one is called “Chrome Unboxed”, which covers everything Chrome-related.
I cant help as per Chromebook or any other 'new' (as in any system newer that Win 7) but I have had many problems with forms from commercial outfits that seem to favor sending stuff as a PDF which I HATE, I have tried a couple of PDF readers which help a little (currently using SumatraPDF) but few if any will permit you to fill out their bloody forms a resend them. Best I can suggest is request a form in a format you can print and add to (i.e. 'office' or one of its offspring) or ask for it to be mailed to you. Good luck, PDF sucks.....!
