Began at age 70, confined to ankles and lower shin. I understand that stress can trigger it. Disappears in warmer weather. Anyway prescription clobetasol propionate ointment wipes it out within a week, applied 2x a day, but you need to be careful with this stuff. It's a very powerful steroid that can permanently suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal complex which regulates damn near all your bodily functions. Use a very thin film of it on affected areas. Do not use for more than two weeks and no more than 50 gm. within that time. I'm still using a 50 gm. tube acquired around 2015. If the condition doesn't respond to this stuff, ask the medicos for alternatives.
