Shhh, don't let them hear us talking. I've got all of the lights off, and I fed the cats extra early so they'd be out of sight by the time the little rascals started making the rounds. I'm going to take a nice bath in a bit, then watch some horror flicks, if I can stay awake long enough. I got my ballot in the mail today, and tomorrow's going to be a busy day, but I still want to do a little celebrating tonight :D. Ooh, they're on the prowl, the dogs are going nuts:eek:.

I put my candy and sign out, hoping they are good little kids and take only one. Who knows what I'll find in the morning...at least I don't care about my cheap bowl. I'll probably toss it anyway. Haven't used it in 9 years.

I'm slowly just going to start trashing all my cheap crap.

We are in hiding here, too, @Diane Lane . We moved the car up to the very front of the driveway, next to the gate that goes into the back yard, and this keeps the car further away from the road, and also makes it harder for anyone to sneak into the back yard.
We took the little patio love seat and put that aross the bottom of the ramp coming up to the porch, so no one can get up to the porch.
We closed all of the blinds in the front of the house, and turned off the living room light. Bobby has the television on, and I have the little lamp here by my chair, and the porch lights are off.
So far, no noise, no problems, and no sounds outside that even sounds like any kids running around out there. We never got kids even when we bought candy for them and had the lights on, so it is not likely that any of them came past the house tonight either; but this makes it pretty certain.

I have all of the outside lights off, too. I don't know if the people across the street are doing the firepot and having out candy or not. I've done that with them in the past, but didn't feel up to it this year. I can hear the kids screaming off and on, and I know some here have set up spooky types of decor around their homes and yards. Hopefully that's what they're scaring about. I haven't head the dogs in a while, so either the owners wised up, or someone complained. I'll check Facebook later or tomorrow to see if people posted about them. It would be a blessing if they did. I think it's about time for me to head off of here and get a nice bath and do a little reading. If I'm still alert enough, I might watch a movie after that, then turn on the outside lights before I hit the sheets. Hope y'all have a good night :).

My apartment complex is in a residential area. Never had any kids here. I've worked some though. Off tonight. Not expecting any kids. Thank goodness. I don't have anything anyway.

We had a few trick-or-treaters this year, but not many. None last year.

10:00 PM. None, so far. But, the nature of rural AZ county life is such that begging door-to-door wastes more time and energy than it is worth. 7th. largest County in U.S., 110,000 population. 12 people per square mile. That affords each person an average of 55 acres of ground area to be "private" on. Frank

The little extortionists aren't allowed past the lobby in my building. They can enter the lunch/assembly room though, and accept candy from anyone there who wants to treat them.
