I’ve never heard-of this happening in a dry / arid area such as where I live , however it’s understandable considering this area was extensively mined for copper which ceased about 100 years ago This is pretty close to the Main Street ..,well it’s about .1.5 km from town , I’ve got no idea when it will be repaired or if they will need to get specialists / engineers in so it’s compacted well so it happen again. I was going to look up if anyone was injured or accidentally drive into the huge hole
Darn! That will ruin your day. I've never seen any such thing in person. Did you take those pics, Kate?
Another photo of the area ..the old engine house is being restored ( it’s all original) built in 1860’s owned / run by the national trust …..in fact our heritage mining area is at the moment being considered by the who’s who to be added to the world heritage list, it’s already onthe state heritage ..meaning it can never be pulled down / altered in any way AND the muddy detour road from rain our poor car had to travel on Boo Hoo
