Nasal irrigation has been around for a long time. I would recommend using distilling (NOT purified or filtered) water, or boil your own water for at least 10 minutes. Allow the water to cool, and always add salt in very measured quantities to the water prior to use. You can buy cheap squeeze bottles with saline packets and instructions, or a more expensive Navage device. Neti pots are available as well, but find someone to help you with those if you haven't used them before. You should keep your mouth open as wide as possible as you do the irrigation to prevent the saline solution form entering you Eustachian tubes. Water entering your nose and exiting your ears is a sign of a VERY SERIOUS ISSUE if that really happened, as it would indicate an open perforation of the eardrum. You should see an ENT physician if that truly happened as soon as possible, @Marie Mallery
Oh my goodness, not another illness to deal with, I'll see if that is what's going on. Hopefully its just a coincidence that when I blew my nose it was like when diving you have to decompress. And that will cause some bubbling too but not as much, if it gets to bothering me or big change, I'll definitely go.
Since I've had my bladder issues, I've found a great source for medical supplies. Vitality Medical The prices are good (you gotta pay freight but they don't rip you off), the service is great whether it's chat/email/phone, and shipping is very fast, getting out the door same day/next day. The business is in Utah, and I'll receive my items in Virginia within a few days of ordering (the items ship from different warehouses.) The stuff I buy does not have a deep offering on Amazon, and many of the things that Amazon does carry are literally 5x the price for the exact same item at Vitality. I've bought a ton of stuff here, buying single pieces so I can try stuff out and then getting cases of what I like. I've placed over a dozen orders and processed one return where I goofed up (I paid return freight), all with no hitches. I only mention this because @Don Alaska talked about sterilizing your irrigation water. I've bought a supply of sterile water from these guys for my own needs. They carry sterile saline irrigation solution by the individual bottle or by the case. A half-liter bottle is $2.43, while a full liter bottle is $2.55 at single-bottle prices, plus freight. Many of their offerings in this line are on back-order (they carry sterile water from 4 different manufacturers.) I don't know if back-orders are a "normal" thing for this commodity or if it's recent supply chain issues. I've not had back-orders with the other stuff I buy there. You can get an email when stuff is back in stock without creating an account. Just though I'd throw that out there. I got the same brand my urologist uses, and bought a few cases in single-use size (100ml) so I'm not worrying about the integrity of an open container.
