This morning I decided to play tourist and went to a small fishing village called Ban Sang Ray. I enjoy going there because there is little of the hustle and bustle of Pattaya and is only about a 35 minute ride on a motorbike. The boats are probably 30 or 40 years old but are well maintained. The crew members are young Cambodians between the age of 14 and 20. They live on the boat but when the day is done they go shopping, and playing when they can in the village.

Every village has a beautiful Buddhist temple and this is the one there.

The boats are very colorful and painted as needed.

These boys are working on sewing the nets that may need repair. As you can see, they are not camera shy and usually they will either smile or start up a banter with everyone they see!

And of course we had to eat there as well as you can't get fresher seafood then right off the boat. This is an oyster omelette.
