Strong Evidence Linking Black Holes To Dark Energy

    This whole thing with dark energy and dark matter has bugged me. Maybe they’re on to something here, although the evidence seems counterintuitive to me. Why does vacuum energy (zero point energy) associated with black holes lead to expansion of the universe?

    The answer is probably, this is why you’re a biologist and not a physicist.

    Interesting. Just keep in mind that it is a theory drawn to match existing knowledge, so as new discoveries are made, such as was mentioned concerning the Hubble, new theories will emerge to explain them

    Yeah, I know, it’s just slow and I probably don’t have much time left. Some of these things are burning desires I have to have an answer before I check off this dirt ball. I thought Garrett Lisi was onto something for a while; I liked the elegant intuitiveness of his idea.

    BTW, I liked your careful choice of words in your comment. Far too many people do not understand the huge difference in the word “theory” when used by a layman in general conversation and when used by a scientist discussing scientific matters.
