Hope you feel better soon, G. And I'm so terribly sorry to hear about your nephew. :(

I was already stressed out this morning, as we both had doctor appts. - when just as we leave the do darts out ahead of us. Mark was furious and I was already a bit miffed with him. BP was very high at doctors office. Anyways I had posted- the the missing dog picture and some one took her to the vets office.. almost next door so close.
We both are a bit listless today. Just way too many things popping up all at once and, you start to feel like your going to lose control. Mantra saying for me generally helps, this morning not so much.
It sunny close to 100.Maybe another day and different time- I will do something useful;)

I had an idea and tried it out with my two of my granddaughters. Remember that shrinking water hose, well, I cut it down and in half to make two jump ropes. It's Double Dutch time so I had hoped. They got the concept but we didn't have enough room on the concrete patio so we'll try it again on the sidewalk out front.

My two year old grandson, their brother, has been ignoring me. Well, he learned his lesson when he kept running until a neighbor's dog approached him. The look on his face was priceless. Those little legs were at full speed as he ran back toward me. :D

Today, it is raining so I am cooking up a chicken to make some soup. I am also cutting out a pattern to make the Mr. another shirt. I have made him dozens of shirts over the years. I am not an experienced sewer but I enjoy the creating process. It helps me keep my mind busy too. I tend to think about too much negative stuff if I don’t keep busy.

I need to get back to doing a little more exercising too, but I am just not motivated! I have always done some type of exercise my whole life but I just can’t seem to get it together to push myself to get it done. I am starting to feel jiggly and squishy; more than I normally do.:(

    Dunno.
Been up since a little after 4, had a full carafe of coffee that tasted like old tea and at 7, I’m still not fully awake yet.
The only good thing I can readily admit at this point is that when the insurance company asks me if I can get out of bed and dress myself I can still say yes.
At least I didn’t put my sweat pants on backwards when I was dressing in the dark. That’s a plus in my book.

Just an edition to my previous post only 6.5 hours later.
Did do: cleaned some of my shop
    did a couple of honey-do’s.
tried out a newer and supposedly stronger denture adhesive.

Did not do: start the great American novel
    finish cleaning my shop
did not like the newer and supposedly stronger denture adhesive.

What I’d like to do: No need to put anything in this category: So far today my want to’s are somewhere between “it’s ain’t gonna happen” and “you must be dreamin’ “.

Even though I have already done 3 loads of laundry, some ironing, and I have started preparations for supper. I am bored today, as I am most days anymore. I seem to wander aimlessly around the house.

“Counting flowers on the wall, that don’t bother me at all, Playing solitaire ‘til dawn with a deck of fifty one, smokin’ cigarettes and watching Captain Kangaroo, Now don’t tell me, I’ve nothing to doooo…” :D:D

I'm doing nothing today. The past week or so I've been catching up on yard work and stacking firewood that I bought (I don't cut my own.) For some reason, I'm several months behind getting firewood replenished for the coming winter. I usually do this at the end of heating season so as to season the stuff for as long as possible, and to not be messing with it in the heat. I got another couple of loads coming this Saturday. Then I'll be finished with the heavy stuff and will get some kindling together.

Sweating through some small stuff. I added final touches to a picture puzzle of hot air balloons in air for my grandson's room; traced, cut and painted cardboard pieces to attach to my weathervane so that it can catch the wind and turn like it's suppose to; darn it I forgot to seal it .

I forgot to post that I have a pair of Oakley boots that I really like, but the laces started to shred early on and I have not been able to find ones that will work (54" long with tiny aglets.) I've tried off & on for a few years, ordering some online only to find that the aglets are too fat to thread through the eyelets. Last week I swung by a Red Wing shoe store, and not only did they have laces that fit, they gave them to me for free!
