This man's car broke down, so he rode his bicycle to work each day for months. The employees at the unit where he worked (a division of Valero) pitched in and bought him an SUV. I worked security many years ago, so I know the type of wages they make. Although he works at Valero, chances are, he's a contract worker, and doesn't make nearly as much as the workers who pitched in and helped him out with a new vehicle. I love seeing people reaching out to help others. Obviously, he's a good co-worker, and I'll bet he'll be even more dedicated now. Here's a link with more information.
My husband and I have friends in Jacksonville, FL who married and had one natural child and decided to have no more natural ones...but adopt the rest of their children. So they became Foster Parents and now they three children, the one they birthed and the two that were "birthed" through adoption.
