Clint Eastwood stars as Earl Stone, a man who is ninety years old, broke, alone, and facing foreclosure of his business when he is offered a job that simply requires him to drive. Easy enough, but, unbeknownst to Earl, he's just signed on as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. Good movie but I have mixed feelings about the ending. Worth the time watching it though. Clint's getting up there in age at 91. He should join the forum.
What did you think of the ending? I wasn't expecting a tearjerker and there was no comeuppance for the cartel.
You mean growing flowers in prison? I have read that the movie is based on the true story of Leo Sharp. From Wikipedia: "Leo Earl Sharp Sr. (May 7, 1924 – December 12, 2016), also known as El Tata,[2][3][4] was an American World War II veteran, horticulturist,[5] and drug courier for a branch of the Sinaloa Cartel.[6] Drug Enforcement Administration Special Agent Jeff Moore arrested Sharp in 2011 and was interviewed by The New York Times writer Sam Dolnick regarding the investigation into the world's oldest drug mule.[2]"
I've not seen the movie, but when someone like Clint has all those successes behind him, and he's talking about his "next project" when he's in his mid-80s, you just gotta smile. We should all be like that.
