It's really a shame to post this but I think I have to. There is this thing called Filipino time which means coming in late. So if you come early for an appointment, they would say, aah, American time. And if you arrive late, they will just make a face as if coming in late is a tradition. What's sad is that people are still patronizing that culture of arriving late for an appointment. I don't want to mention but I recently have several experiences of waiting for people to arrive so late for the appointed time. And it's getting worse because invitations for wedding or any affair would indicate the time 30 minutes or 1 hour in advance. There was a time that I was a sponsor for the wedding at 3pm so we arrived at a little past 2pm to avoid being late. But the actual time of the wedding was 4pm and it's only in the invitation that said 3pm so latecomers will not be late. Sometimes it's really annoying.
I'm always early and I can't stand people who aren't on time. One of my pet peeves. I always allow for any traffic or anything else so that I'm not late, not everyone is so considerate.
I'm always early, partly because one of my doctors makes you reschedule an appointment if you're more than a few minutes late. Another reason is, other doctors I see don't wait for you. They see the next patient. You have to wait until they have an opening. Sometimes it's an hour or more.
