For some odd reason they call it 'governance' and are averse to the word 'government', but that is a minor aside. The constitution of the World Health Organization under the auspices of the United Nations makes for interesting reading, as does its website here: https://www.who.int/ The constitution is couched in language that is nearly incomprehensible - nearly incomprehensible, but it can be translated into 'normal speak' if one gets used to the authors' convoluted style of sentence construction and how they use certain words and phrases to disguise their real intent. In various places it is strongly inferred that national sovereignty and individual rights are serious obstacles to effective management of global disease pandemics. Also, articles by advocates of the UN gaining world power make a tenuous and twisted connection between 'sustainable development' ( zero carbon emissions ) and the emergence of global pandemics. Making sense is not the forte' of globalists. Of course global warming is a scam and, of course, the recent pandemic is a creation of corrupt people, corrupt governments and corrupt corporations. They want the planetary population abruptly and drastically reduced and that means that billions of ordinary folks have to die. This is the conspiracy fact underlying most conspiracy theories and, for me at least, it is evidence that Evil begins with a capital E and that Satan exists and is active in the world. For a secular, in depth look at these issues see this excellent article on the UK Column's excellent website. https://www.ukcolumn.org/article/world-federalism-versus-national-sovereignty An excerpt follows. (my bolds) Of additional interest to discerning UK Column readers must be the fact that on 23 August 1947 the first International Congress of the "World Movement for World Federal Government", issued the Montreux Declaration. This declaration called for 'The mobilization of the peoples of the world to bring pressure on their governments and legislative assemblies to transform the United Nations Organization into World Federal Government by increasing its authority and resources, and by amending its Charter'. Objectives listed in the Montreux Declaration included Enforcement of world law directly on the individual whoever or wherever he may be, Disarmament of member nations to the level of their internal policing requirements.
I fail to understand why anyone would believe one world government would be good for anyone other than those opportunistic, power mongers at the top. Look at the world around us. How many governments are worthy of our respect and trust? Why should we believe having just one would be an improvement? What happened to appreciating the diversity of cultures and traditions of various counties. This is just one, gigantic power grab.
I agree. I had an idea which I'm finding hard to put into words. The fact that there are different countries that people could travel to (in an easier or harder fashion) means that even the most dictatorial governments must grant some people some sort of freedoms and rights at least some of the time. It's sort of like having more than one barber shop in town to spend one's money at. Each barber would have to cut the customers' hair as they, the customers, wish it because there are other barbers to go to. If there were only one barber in town that barber might tend to cut hair the way he wished and not how the customers wished. because they have no other place to go. Similarly, if there were only one world government instead of many national ones, the tendency for granting some preferences and rights to citizens would disappear. A world government would have the capacity and desire to dictate every aspect of citizens' thinking, emotions and behavior. Am i making sense?
That's happening in every nation as we speak. Putting everyone under a central authority would just make it more efficient.
Is that because since the fall of the Soviet Union the world has been coming under the thumb of world government in effect if not formally or in name? What do you think, John?
I wonder if this movement has been going on longer than that. Remember that The New Deal came into being almost 60 years before the USSR fell, and he Great Society was forced on us 30 years after that. Power loves to be centralized. I'm not sure I want to know how far towards this goal we already are. Here is an article I just read on how our State Department takes our tax dollars and uses them to fund a foreign think tank that collaborates with online platforms to censor "perceived mis- and disinformation."
...I'm not sure I want to know how far towards this goal we already are. I want to wax philosophical about that and pardon my reducing things to simplistic terms. It certainly seems as if the bad guys are far along in their plans and are winning. It appears sometimes that all is lost. For me, that's the time to dig in our heels and fight harder. I don't think it matters if we win or lose, as fatalistic as that sounds. What matters is that we are on the side of the good. If God exists we will win in the end. If he doesn't exist we still have a chance. At my age, financial state and physical condition I'm not capable of doing much more than to try and spread awareness. No matter how much money and control they have, growing awareness in the mass of people globally is what will defeat them, in my opinion. Although they try to they can't rule by force. They need our consent.
There are so many moving parts: -Technology might give them more data and tracking of us, but it allows our side to share data. -I wouldn't worry about not being able to pick up a rifle and charge forward. This battlefield is different. -I tell myself that it is an honor to fight for all the things we have enjoyed. It seems that there's too much "take" these days...too much "rights" and no "responsibilities." I attended a seminar from these guys. -I don't believe most of what I hear regarding how my fellow citizens are. I only believe what I experience in my daily life, and there are more sheep dogs than there are sheep.
Re. this discussion, just saw this. https://www.teslarati.com/elon-musk-slams-world-government-at-world-government-summit/
A disturbing item about the WHO setting up "child rearing rules". One of the panel members advocates giving puberty blockers to all children so they can choose their gender later rather than being forced to accept the one assigned to them. The stupidity astounds me. link
