I just had an absolutely wonderful epiphany! I do wonder if one could apply for a government grant based on the idea that flatulence might well be a form of art. I would not mind standing in the museum of art in New York whilst boldly displaying the various sounds that escape the posterior after a good plate of sausage and cabbage.

Instead of being listed as a bad habit, we might well see groups of people the size of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir get together to perform a cantata! A hundred people with hands folded together and standing at a 15 to 20 degree angle tooting and blaring away their own part of the “music”!
Nay, ‘tis not in the least a smearing of a bad habit........IT’S AN ART!

    We’re talking money here!

Passing gas or farting will always be a natural body function and as such we all will experience that body function often in our lifetimes. I don't want to take it to an art form, etc....and most of the time I am very glad I have privacy when it happens. My husband always asks me to pull his finger when he's about ready to let it rip...and I always tell him no and leave the room as quickly as possible. For the most part I find men treat passing gas like something really funny. I even remember one of my sisters boyfriends and his friends "lighting their farts" during their youth.

When I was pregnant with my first child and my family was on vacation...I could not stop myself from passing gas in the motel room we were staying in and it was lethal believe me. With no air freshener at our disposal it took quite a while for the room to clear of that stinky odor. I just smiled and blamed it on the baby in my womb! :)
