Black realtor and client wrongly accused of break-in during home showing, win lawsuit Quick synopsis: Former cop living in all-white neighborhood calls 911, reports home break-in, knowing it was a black realtor showing a black man a home for sale. Cops responding, handcuff both men, while buyer's kid sits in car. The funny part is at the end, when the cops could not figure out how to re-lock the realtor lock-box to secure the home. The sad part, is that this ridiculous act cost the city $150,000. And as far as I saw, the fake break-in call went unpunished. Wow, guess he got by with it because he was a cop. In most states, I believe it's jail time and/or find to misuse 911. Plus, it was a crappy thing to do.
