I'm sure I will make a few people angry here, but if the House pushes for impeachment knowing the Senate will never grant it, they will be put on the chopping block during the elections as wasting millions of tax payer money. The House can bring the charge for impeachment, but it is the Senate that plays court and judge. The time it will take for a formal impeachment hearing will put us well into the 2020 elections. It would be political suicide for the Dems to push impeachment. When Trump is no longer a sitting president, he can, and most probably will, be indicted on criminal charges by the state of NY and the federal government, once the roaches have been sprayed out of the judicial branch. My money is on NY. No pardon by another president can bypass state charges. No federal judicial system can bypass state charges. Trump knows they are waiting on him. He knows the only thing keeping him out of court, and possibly jail, is staying president. I am curious if it gets to the point that he is surely ousted in the election, if he will disappear to Russia before said time for change in power so he cannot be extradited.
No president has ever been removed from office using the impeachment process. Andrew Johnson - Democrat. Escaped removal from office by 1 vote. The president elected after Johnson - Ulysses Grant, Republican. Richard Nixon - Republican. Resigned during impeachment proceedings. The next elected president - Jimmy Carter, Democrat Bill Clinton - democrat. The Senate found Clinton not guilty. The next president George W Bush, Republican The Democrats definitely know not to impeach President Trump. Trump doesn't appear to be quaking in his boots, regardless of how much any one wants to imagine it.
The guys who are continually harping about impeaching the President lead such a zombie like life. They wake up each and every morning with nothing else on their pea brains other than impeaching Trump. Any problems in their home districts? Ya know, something to really get the neurons going, excite the brain cells and show some care for the people who put them in office. Nope, don’t care, gotta impeach Donald. Why? Cause it’s going to be hot today or my gardener is afraid he’s going to be deported or he talked nice to a dictator or whatever’s in the script. Gotta impeach Trump. These folks are more likened to a mouse in it’s cage going round and round on a wheel that goes nowhere and does nothing except to entertain the mouse and people who like mice. It takes no brains, no real ambition nor the willingness get anywhere .....just spinning and doing the same thing day after day and totally contented with doing nothing but that, oblivious to all else. What’s amazing to me is that some people actually like to sit for hours watching a mouse whose only agenda in life is to eat and spin the wheel. Alas, maybe it is good that the mouse at least spins a wheel, otherwise, after losing it’s value as an entertainer might find itself in a trash bin or if small enough, down a toilet. 2020 is coming up. No more taxpayer funded cage, no more taxpayer funded spinning wheel, the trash bin‘s top is being removed to accept any and all x-entertainers.
