I really got into some bad "eating time" habits, and have had them for years. It's sort of been driven by my weird sleep patterns.

It's 10PM and I'm eating my salad. Next I'm gonna have a steak dinner with all the sides. I usually eat this hour, or even later.

The few times I eat before 7PM I certainly feel better for it, and I don't really get hungry before bedtime. But the vast majority of the time, I eat at 10PM or later. I don't go to bed until 1AM-2AM.

I had a delicious Monte Cristo with fresh sliced fruit today for lunch. A Reuben on Sour Dough Rye Bread is my other favorite sandwich.

Like you, I love Reuben sandwiches. Arby's in Waipahu, HI, makes a super-delicious Reuben. Sauerkraut inside.... YUM! I never heard of a Monte Christo. My second favorite is PB&J (what else?). :p

I like a cold sandwich I was introduced to at a sandwich shop back in '76.

Corned beef on rye with swiss cheese, cole slaw and Thousand Island dressing. Sorta/kinda like a Reuben but it's cold, and the cabbage is not fermented.

My wife loves a Ruben from Arby's. As for myself, I love the French Dip from there. Other sandwiches: BLT and Patty Melt.

French Dip is a good sandwich, especially with lots of fresh horseradish.

I used to like a Monte Cristo until I had to make the doggone things. Whomever the idiot was that came up with the idea of making those things never worked in a high paced commercial kitchen. Makes me shiver ever time I think about them.

As for me, a Po Boy is the epitome of a good sandwich. A 12” Shrimp, Oyster or a good sloppy roast beef with gravy dripping all over one’s shirt is all I need for the day.

Surprised me Hal. I would have thought something along the line of a steak sandwich and a stein of beer along side as a dipping sauce.
Just messin’ with ya. Yeah, I like a BLT and Avacado too.
