I was on the computer about an hour ago and got the warning call that the National Weather Service had issued a tornado warning for an area that included my address. I got my tornado closet ready and turned on the TV to WRAL. The tornado was a about ten miles from my house. I watched to see if it was going to hit my house. Fortunately , it dissipated before it got here. Now I know the meaning of stark terror and sheer relief. I mean, weak in the knees relief. :D

I know what you are saying, @Shirley Martin , since we also live in tornado alley, and have to be ready to get in the closet when they are spotted in our area.
It seems like there is a pattern here of where the storms go through, and we live in an area where most of them either go north or south of us, with the worst parts of the storms.
When the bad tornado outbreak hit here in 2011, we lived in a house that was right along the pathway where the storms and tornadoes go, and the whole neighborhood was devastated with trees down and power lines across the roads. We were out of power for about 12 days, the roof was gone off of the house, and everything was closed since stores could not operate.
I am glad that we seem to be in a safer area now, but we still have been ready to get in the closet if a tornado does get close to us, and it is pretty worrisome when they are nearby.
I am glad that you are doing okay, and that the tornado fizzled out before it got to where you live !
