On Labor Day weekend in 2009 we were in the vet's office to pick up stray

cat that has been beaten badly and the vet had patched up. While

there, a couple walks in with something wrapped in a towel and tells the girl

at the desk that they found this puppy in a mud puddle in their yard. They

did not want the puppy. They were told to bring it to the dog pound. We felt

the puppy would not survive there, because the vet said she still had her

umbilical cord and was no more than a day old. She had to be fed every 3

to 4 hours. We volunteered to take care of her and give her a home. The vet gave us a quick

lesson how to be a mother dog then we were on our way. First we had to

clean her and give her the first bottle.

She was always willing to accept the bottle, hungry little girl. They say one

out of 3 survive being hand-fed. well she made it and we called her Brandi.

She was 125 lbs. of pure joy. She is a mixed breed and we all loved her.

She was always there for us, to love and protect.

She passed in 2018 from Cushing's disease after 9 short years with her, we are

    still heartbroken.

Thank you. She seem to have a knack to know what you're thinking and got into my routines very quickly. Very obedient just had to say no once and she wouldn't do it again. I really think because we raised from one day old she thought she was a person. Anyway thank you again.
