There are some number of folks descending upon DC who support Kennedy's nomination. Apparently, his MAHA message cuts across all ideologies. There are stories of folks who have had sex change operations (with little push-back from their doctors) because of like-long depression and anxiety, only to later find relief through lifestyle and diet changes (there's a group called Detransitioners for Kennedy.) Daily Caller article
Those few who are real transsexuals are unhappy people no matter what action they take or don't take. There have been many in the past--and there may still be some--who are Gay/lesbian but have been convinced they are Trans due to social or psychological pressures. The entire situation is sad.
A six minute summary of what Trump is doing. There are only two forms of government--those who own the people and those where the people own the government. Trump is trying to turn the former back into the latter.
As it is, we have over 400 Federal government agencies of which 1/5 are totally defunct with some of them still receiving funding. We have Congress people (AND those in the Oval office) getting into office, many of which barely have a bank account and a year or so later are millionaires. There are only 4,312 actual Federal laws but there are 30,000 statutes and 88,899 Federal regulations. If only half of what Trump said they could and would do is accomplished in this term, at least we’ll be headed in the right direction.
A possible down-side of the Trump opt out of Federal employment is perhaps rearing it head. It has been said that the senior experienced workers in the Federal workforce, disgusted by what their jobs have turned into and who has been hired under Biden, are opting essentially for early retirement, which may leave the lazy, DEI-hires in charge of things. I have seen direct reports from the USPS who have said that working conditions have gotten so bad due in part to decisions made by Biden hires, that they just want out. It may be happening in other departments as well. I don't know if they are covered under the Trump proposal though.
More winning! Marco Rubio is earning his pay. From Fox... "Panama's president vowed Sunday to end a key development deal with China after meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and after complaints from President Donald Trump that the Latin American country had ceded control over its critical shipping canal to Beijing."
A Platform Services Manager for the Department of Homeland Security discusses with an undercover journalist how DHS staff will not let Kristi Noem or any of Trump's people get in their way. Hopefully, he won't be with the DHS for long. It's always the same thing when O'Keefe's people catch someone—they are trying to impress a date with stories about how powerful they are.
I was just reading about him. Even Money is on him lasting 2 weeks. The NY FBI office has also come out with their own self-declared RESIST! statement. link The governor of New Jersey is daring ICE to come after the illegal he has living on his property. link
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump complained that the U.S. had sent more in military and economic assistance to Ukraine than its European partners, adding, “We’re looking to do a deal with Ukraine where they’re going to secure what we’re giving them with their rare earth and other things.” link
I think that ICE is just going after criminals, and I actually think that they should just leave that governor there with the illegals and let him keep them for a while and see how it goes for him. He is probably expecting to get lots of publicity from this stunt, but in a couple of months, he will be wanting to move the illegals out of his garage (if not sooner). Maybe someone can send him a few more to keep as well……
Perhaps the governor can declare his property a "sanctuary and all the illegals in New Jersey can come live there. It might not be THAT bad
Trump has defeated several countries and several people are under investigation (see Schumer above) and he doesn't really have all his people in place. That tells me that there are still good people in Federal law enforcement who have wanted to do their jobs but were prevented from doing so by the previous administration.
I just read a report that so far the government has been cut 15 BILLION dollars in just 2 weeks. What is ahead? Apparently there was a number of agencies that were used to launder funds for the Democrat Party and more than a dozen building leases have been cancelled. The government of Belgium has taken a right turn and a pro-Trump party has taken control of the Belgian government. Interesting stuff. USAID who was reportedly funneling Federal funds to George Soros and others is apparently on the chopping block. It has been one of the biggest money laundering operations. Trump and Musk are hardly sleeping.
