Rody Duterte won in the recent presidential election by a margin of more than 6 million votes over the second placer. And it may have been more of a landslide if Duterte had behaved the way a traditiional politician would do. But on second thought, maybe the voters are tired of the typecasting of a politician with their clean image and sweet talks so they voted for Duterte.

That guy was a mayor of a southern town for so many years. He is so down to earth that he curses when he talks. Can you pardon a candidate who says "son of..."? That would be suicide. But Duterte did say that not only casually but one time it was directed to the Pope. And when the Catholic priests stood up for the Pope, Duterte blasted them. Take note that the Philippines is more than 80% Catholic but Duterte really has balls.

And lately, he had declared war on the nosy media people that he would only grant interview to one tv network and all the rest are banned from his activities. His style is unique, strange, abrasive, but quite effective. With still a few weeks before Duterte takes over, watch the news and you will see drug pushers being caught every day. Laws that where ignored are now being implemented like the curfew.

I find Trump to have a strange, non-traditional mien like Duterte. But I'm not meddling into your politics. Just sharing my opinion on our own unique guy.

Catholics swear as often, in my experience, as any others, Atheists included. Today, at least here in America, I gather an awful lot of common, ordinary, everyday hard-working family-oriented folks routinely "cuss-out" the political leaders in general, as well as many of them individually. Give them a chance to listen to, and actually hear a potential candidate term some politico an "S.O.B.", and they will revel in the fact that the speaker of such blasphemy is tuned "right on" with their own feelings.
