Yeh, there was talk of their being a Mike Wallace on that list, but those unsupported rumors are as disingenuous as scouring Tea Party rosters every time there's a shooting, looking for a "sorta-like" name.
Is that known for a fact? From what I've seen, it is debunked by the same "fact-checkers" who claim that any negative thing said about a liberal is false. Of course, we wouldn't know for a fact that it was him, either, but I haven't seen where the John Roberts who had actually been on these flights has been identified. Whichever John Robert is was, it would have to be someone with a high profile and I haven't heard who that would be.
Oh, lord, when that manifest was first published back when, I saw a blurb that had initially raised eyebrows and some investigative reporter for the Wash. Times, I believe, looked into it. Seems that John Roberts was a businessman.
I watched part of the proceedings today; I must say that Mrs. Barrett is impressive and was more than a match for Dumb and Dumber. When they pass the green new deal, at least the moron from Hawaii won't be able to fly back to the mainland states.
Vanity Fair, October 23 Amy Coney Barrett, About to Be Confirmed to the Supreme Court, Sees a Scenario in Which Abortion Should Be Punishable by Death By Bess Levin Here's their [ir]rationale: I'll refrain from stating the obvious.
Unless this unlikely situation resulted in a court case and reached the Supreme Court, she's right. One cannot answer a question of this type.
Right. No judicial nominee comments on such hypotheticals...and the author refers to this as Barret's "schtick."
Some of those folks never think about a scenario in which they might have to go to court for whatever reason. Will they want a judge who has predetermined their fate with no evidence in hand or would they rather have a someone who tries to stay impartial until the entire case has been heard?
Maybe an evasive answer is only evasive if the answerer is not your guy? "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is."
