    @Joyce Senior

The published tax records of which particular politician might be construed as being honestly presented? My guess would be NONE.

You’re a professor is that not correct?

If you assigned a student to give the major setbacks during say, The Wilson administration and the student came back with an excellent thesis on the sex life of the Mexican Swamp Rat what kind of grade would you give him? You’d throw it in the trash because why?
    Off topic correct?

There’s another whole thread on nothing but communism and socialism so why not go there?

And yes, I do think Donald Trump was the best president of all the presidents in my lifetime.

See my comment about Jimmy Carter, Marie.

Also, do you believe that Trump made nothing off his properties with the dignitaries who stayed there? Do you believe they'd all have been booking rooms and galas there if he weren't president? And what of his wanting to hold the G7 at Trump National Doral golf resort? Would he have made nothing off that?

Is is not true that WE wouldn’t have had to pay for the G7 if it were held at Doral? The G7 isn’t a freebie in any case but we wouldn’t have had our taxes pay for Trump’s food, suite, and general upkeep whilst at the meeting. He was willing to allow ALL of the attendees to have the meetings and suites free of charge thereby relieving anyone else for paying for their rep’s upkeep. I’ll have to look it up but I think the golf and food would have been comped also.
In my “opinion” the main people who would have made some major bucks are the service people who rely on tips.

And, Donald Trump’s hotels were going strong before he became the President and do note, all his business dealings were transferred to his family before he became President. Alas, if you look at the available stats he actually lost money in his hotels as reported by CNN and other left wing networks who were more than happy to report his losses.
Now, that doesn’t mean he didn’t or doesn’t have stock in his companies but also note that whilst he was the President the entire stock market rose to incredible heights ergo he probably made some money there.

Good questions though. I’m still waiting to see how many will write that Biden is their favorite.
After all, some folks here helped elect him.

Whether or not I see a problem with his having made money from his properties isn't the question here. I was replying to your statement, "Well at least Trump came in with money and didn't make his wealth off politics and inside trading and pay offs and backroom deals wirth other nations like most of politicians do .None of the oligarchs have a job so how do they get so stinking rich off being elected?" You've just agreed that it's okay for politicians to make money from being politicians and that Trump did just that.

Do you really believe that we don't pay for ALL of our attendees to these sorts of things, Bobby? The government pays for all of our attendees wherever conferences, etc. are held. Aside from all of the normal reasons for payment, it would be a logistical and accounting nightmare not to and the individual departments aren't in the habit of making things difficult for themselves.

It’s pretty obvious that you hate Donald Trump so what’s the use in answering a question that at this point is moot?
Donald Trump said the G7 would be free for all attendees….period.
As it turned out the G7 wasn’t held there so there’s no way to say it would have been or wouldn’t have. The whole conversation would simply go in circles especially if one person hates the person making the guarantees and the other doesn’t.

Gee, you’re on a roll today aren’t ya Joyce. Take a small vacation? How’s the weather?

Let’s see…..so again, you’re trying to use logic when the proof is out there to glean. Trump left office with less money than he went in with,.
Donald Trump never said that nor did his family but the left wing media including Forbes sure came out saying how much he lost.

Why are you having such a hard time digesting that Joyce?
I mean, your candidate is “stinking” rich and other than being VP, paycheck wise he’s never made more than any other sitting congressman makes so where’s HIS money coming from? Are you okay with it or is there a qualifier here somewhere that says it’s okay?

I believe I asked someone else this and didn't get a reply. I'm now asking you. How do you know? I doubt you know anyone who's seen his tax returns.

When will he show us his tax returns so that we can verify the stories? All we have so far is partial filings with New York State at various times.

Donald Trump has said a lot of things; do you really believe even 1/100 of them are true? Pick and choose works, I guess.
