I do not believe that Trump has acted like a hothead. Rather, I believe that he has responded to North Korea in the way that he would respond to a hostile business negotiation, hoping to negotiate from a position of power. Past administrations have put it on the table that they weren't going to take any effective action against North Korea, thus weakening their position when it comes to a negotiated solution. I am not saying that he has always done everything right, but I do think he puts more thought into what he says (although not necessarily how he says it) than most people give him credit for. For example, in the wake of the flurry of news around the NFL football player flap, he enacted a travel ban even tougher than the one before, and we have heard hardly a word about it on the news.
And I certainly hope you will be right no this @Bill Boggs. But sooner or later war is coming even if it isn't between N. Korea and America.
