    @Bob Kirk -- very poignant in your telling; I got a lump in my throat.

    @Bob Kirk ..
    I volunteer at the Salvation Army, in the office. People can and or homeless for numerous reasons. One being mental illness. Tuesday I had the skinniest young guy and dirty to boot come in asking if I had anything he could eat.
    He knew we served lunch at noon but he was very hungary...and had not bathed in three weeks. He ate a ready made sandwhich , 2 bottles of water and various cookies. A couple offered to let him go back to their motel room to bathe.
    I registered this guy and you would of thought it was Christmas. Clothes, shoes hygeine products and some carry around foods and he felt he was set. Very appreciative and all smiles.
    Not all but many of these people look out for each other and that gives them a sense of family and someone to lean on when needed. Why do they smile:)..one because they have time to set back and watch the world go by without all the hassles of dailey life.
    I have decided one reason we offer them so much help...keeps many out of trouble and jail..less likely to be your car theif per saw.

    Women say that men have only one thing on our mind which, when applied to the male prairie dog it clearly becomes the truth.
    When the female prairie dog is “receptive”, the males are only paying attention to her which leaves them extremely vulnerable to predators.

    Woohoo! I’m next! I’m next! I’m n..............

    Perhaps they smile because they're glad they are not dead.

    Or happy they didn’t get robbed (and / or killed) of what little they have whilst they slept.
    I knew an old guy in Atlanta who was killed while he slept in his “camp”. The shoes and coat he was known to wear at all times was gone.

    I learned how much I dislike doctors and the stupid repetitive questions they ask.

    I learned today, don't rely on some people that say you can count on them, rely on the best person for you......yourself.

    I literally just found out the possible cause of my extreme pain and cramping...low potassium. The nurse said it was low and wanted to call in Rd for that, but I said ..No..how ever I will be getting the Rx so maybe I will improve shortly :);)

    @Gloria Mitchell Sorry you're not feeling up to par, a banana a day will supply potassium, there other foods as well to try.
